O’Donnell knew Hoffman since 1999 and the two would go on to have three children together: Cooper, 14, Tallulah, 11 and Willa, 9.

“As soon as Phil started using heroin again, I sensed it, terrified,” O’Donnell writes. “I told him, ‘You’re going to die. That’s what happens with heroin.’ Every day was filled with worry. Every night, when he went out, I wondered: Will I see him again?”

According to O’Donnell, Hoffman’s addiction battle started with prescription pills before the actor turned to heroin. The two decided after Hoffman returned from a stint

Salma Hayek Details Harassment By Harvey Weinstein on ‘Frida’
Salma Hayek added her voice Wednesday to the growing list of women accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment.

In an New York Times essay, the actress called Weinstein her “monster” and detailed her experiences while working on the 2002 Miramax-produced film “Frida.”

Hayek outlined the various demands Weinstein asked of her, including showering with him, letting him watch her take a shower, giving him a massage, performing oral sex on him and opening the doors to him at all hours of the night.

“The absurdity of his demands went from getting a furious call in the middle of the night asking me to fire my agent for a fight he was having with him about a different movie with a different client to physically dragging me out of the opening gala of the Venice Film Festival,” she wrote.

Hayek specifies that the price she suffered for rebuffing his attempts at sexual activity was to endure his continued rage.

Although Omarosa Manigault-Newman denies being fired from her role in President Donald Trump’s administration, the former reality star alluded to situations in the White House that made her feel “uncomfortable” and “upset,” leading to her resignation.

In a sit-down with Michael Strahan on Good Morning America Thursday, Manigault-Newman shot down reports that she was dramatically escorted out of the White House after being canned.

“ John Kelly and I had a very straight-forward discussion about concerns that I had, issues that I had raised, and as a result, I resigned and it will be taking place January 20, when I leave this very interesting administration,

Keegan-Michael Key Fulfills a 'Dream Deferred' in 2017 (Exclusive)

Keegan-Michael Key Fulfills a 'Dream Deferred' in 2017 (Exclusive)
There’s no doubting that Keegan-Michael Key is a funny guy, as he’s proven on the Emmy-winning Comedy Central sketch series Key & Peele and with scene-stealing roles in everything from Pitch Perfect 2 to the first season of Fargo on FX.

But after Key & Peele came to an end in 2015, Key says he purposefully sought out work that would take him as far away from the sketch comedy world, which, also thanks to his years on MadTV, had defined much of his career up until that point. “I felt like we had done almost as much as we could do with the form,” he tells Et, and he was ready to set his career on a new course with roles that tapped into his classical training.

The first sign of that transition came in 2016 with Don’t Think Twice, a dramedy about standup comedians, and then a leading role as Ethan on Netflix’s Friends From College. But it was

Susan Sarandon Proves Why TV Is the Right Place to Be (Exclusive)

Susan Sarandon Proves Why TV Is the Right Place to Be (Exclusive)
Susan Sarandon is no stranger to television.

In fact, the longtime actress starred in several TV films early in her career. But outside of a handful of notable recurring roles, Sarandon, who won a Best Actress Oscar in 1995 for Dead Man Walking, had never starred on a series until 2017, when she portrayed Bette Davis in Ryan Murphy’s new FX anthology series, Feud, which launched with Bette and Joan. It seemed like a role that Sarandon was destined to play, with her likeness often having been compared to that of Davis.

Yet, portraying the Hollywood legend -- an opportunity she’d been offered time and time before -- wasn’t something Sarandon was keen to do, especially when the scripts she read were nothing more than “bitchy one-liners.” “It’s not enough to think Bette Davis is cool,” the actress told Et earlier this year. “What do you do with her then? It’s really

Lois Smith Delivers a Career Best With 'Marjorie Prime' (Exclusive)
When it comes to collecting recent accolades like Windsor International Film Festival’s lifetime achievement award, Lois Smith, who made her film debut in 1955’s East of Eden opposite James Dean and has had notable roles in Twisterand on True Blood, says it’s mostly a matter of longevity. “Those words,” she tells Et, referring to lifetime achievement, “are a little alarming.” But all the recent fuss, as she describes it, comes as the longtime actress is earning the best reviews of her career for Marjorie Prime, a sci-fi film directed by Michael Almereyda based on the Pulitzer Prize-nominated play by Jordan Harrison.

“It’s not why one does the work, but it’s nice when it happens,” Smith says ever-so-diplomatically as she’s perched on a sofa in the lobby of the Thompson Hotel, just outside the Loop neighborhood of downtown Chicago.

Ray Romano Reveals the Secret to Becoming a Better Actor (Exclusive)
For comedian Ray Romano, 2017 has proven that it’s never too late to explore a new side to your career.

Made famous by starring as the titular character on Everybody Loves Raymond for nine seasons, Romano has managed to maintain a successful career even after the series took its final bow in 2005.

After an extended and beloved role on NBC’s Parenthood and a lead on the short-lived HBO series Vinyl, Romano proved he could take on serious and dramatic roles like the best of them -- but don’t expect him to forget his comedic roots anytime soon.

“If a good, full-out comedy came my way I would definitely consider it, and these ‘serious’ projects I’ve done have all had comedy mixed in with the drama. I do like the mixture of the two,” Romano tells Et about his recent pattern of more emotional roles.

Romano’s love for the mixture of comedy and drama was

Megan Mullally Savors a Surprising Career First With Return of ‘Will & Grace’ (Exclusive)
“Sometimes I’ll see somebody and they just instantly burst into tears.”

Megan Mullally is talking about especially animated fans who recognize her as Karen Walker from Will & Grace, which returned to NBC in a roundly celebrated revival this fall. “I always just give them a big hug and I’m like, ‘I’m so boring! You don’t understand,” she adds.

But admirers old and new of Grace’s brassy assistant will agree that there’s nothing boring about Mullally’s scene-stealing character, whom audiences first met during the series’ original eight-season run from 1998 to 2006. When the sitcom’s famous foursome first reunited last September for a video to encourage viewers to vote in the 2016 presidential election, the biggest bombshell came with Karen’s choice of candidate.

“She’s a Trump supporter on paper,” Mullally tells Et over the phone from her home in Los Angeles. The political tone of the PSA, which served as a precursor

The Real Story Behind Princess Margaret's Scandalous Nude Photo
While The Crown's first two seasons largely focus on Queen Elizabeth II's taking over of the British throne, she is not the only member of the royal family depicted. Her husband, her mother, and her sister, Princess Margaret, are all central characters to the plot as well, with Margaret's story taking center stage a few times in season two. Episode four in particular focuses on Margaret's romance and marriage to Antony Armstrong-Jones, a rebellious photographer who is one of the few people not to treat Margaret like an untouchable princess. When he photographs her in a pose that makes it appear as though she is naked, scandal rocks the UK when the racy (for the time) photograph is splashed across the pages of the newspapers. So, just how accurate is The Crown when it comes to this scandal? And what can we expect from the series as it

Beanie Feldstein Is the Broadway Star-Turned-Movie Star Next Door (Exclusive)
Eight shows a week, Beanie Feldstein takes the stage at the Shubert Theatre in New York City to perform in the revival of Hello, Dolly! Wearing a pastel pink bodice adorned with frilly violet lace, a bustling striped skirt and a mop of curls atop her head, the 24-year-old belts out a rousing rendition of “Motherhood” as shop girl Minnie Fay. "I stand for motherhood, America and a hot lunch for orphans / Take off your hat, sir, while your country's flag is passing," she sings alongside her co-star, Bette Midler.

It's quite a Broadway debut, one that Feldstein, who spent her formative summers at the prestigious acting camp Stagedoor Manor and her high school years obsessing over musical theater with best friend (and Dear Evan Hansen star) Ben Platt, could only have dreamed of. Being cast in the company of a legend of screen and stage in an award-winning production -- Midler won a Tony for Hello, Dolly
